How much aloe vera should you drink a day?

Drinking aloe vera juice every day is absolutely fine, but the amount to consume daily will depend on the type of product you choose. If you’re drinking pure aloe vera gel, start with one tablespoon each day to see how you stomach it.

If you’re drinking pure aloe vera juice (surrounding the gel in the leaf), you don’t need to worry about the laxative effects of anthraquinones. Most people would be OK with 2-4 tablespoons of aloe vera juice a day but it's quite bitter; luckily with Kelly Loves aloe vera drink you can enjoy all the benefits of the real aloe vera juice and gel but without the limits.

This is because Kelly Loves aloe vera drink combines water with aloe vera juice and gel to make it thirst quenching and palatable so you don’t have to worry about side effects. We add sweeteners (rather than sugar) to offset the natural bitterness.

When’s the best time to drink aloe vera?

There’s no best time to drink aloe vera. Many people swear by drinking aloe vera juice on an empty stomach in the morning. Kelly Loves aloe vera drink is refreshing alongside a meal or as part of a break throughout the day. And it doesn’t contain caffeine or sugar so there’s no reason not to drink it before bed.

  • Stomach irritation including cramping and diarrhoea
  • Skin irritation (such as a rash)
  • Toxicity

A small number of people might find that they have an allergic reaction to taking the pure aloe vera gel. This could include a tight chest or difficulty breathing.

Drinking aloe vera juice has a multitude of health benefits so it’s a good thing to add to your daily routine. If you cut the aloe vera plant you can access the gel or juice. But who has time to be cutting up aloe vera plants every day! Plus, there are around 400 species of aloe vera and some are poisonous if ingested. To enjoy the benefits of aloe vera without going through the hassle of keeping plants alive, worrying about safety, or extracting messy gooey stuff, look to aloe vera juice drinks. Many brands add sugar to their aloe vera drinks which would be bad for your health to consume every day. Luckily, Kelly Loves has sourced an authentic, high-quality aloe vera drink, replacing the sugar with sweeteners.
